MAGNA Global

At the end of March 2021, I landed a contract website update job at MAGNA that turned into a full-time, permanent position at the end of July 2021.
 
MAGNA is a global marketing agency that is part of Mediabrands, which is owned by IPG (Interpublic Group).
 
My work as a Senior Associate at MAGNA included:

     

  • Internal communications: writing and sending newsletters across all Mediabrands companies
  • Social media: LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook
  • Website content management (WordPress)
  • Hybrid and virtual event support
  • Interfacing with affiliate companies that function similarly to clients
  • Supporting Equity Upfront initiative
  • Building online Equity Portal, a virtual resource of diversely-owned media partners
  • Video editing: social media videos for Media Trials team

 
Additionally, I did an initial deep dive analysis of the company’s social media and website analytics, charted a strategy for improvement, and implemented it. Within 3.5 months, the followers on LinkedIn––where the company’s most engaged audience is––had increased by more than 450. In my year at MAGNA, LinkedIn followers increased by more than 2,200 (1675%). This was achieved organically, without running paid ads.
